Bio

Dr. Silvia Elaluf-Calderwood is a professional consultant and researcher with a PhD in Information Systems from the London School of Economics where she specialized in mobile technology, business models analysis, telecommunications strategy, mobile payments, and big data including consulting work in Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia. An industry qualified engineer (CCNP, CCNA, MSc(Eng), BSc), she currently is an adjunct Professor at Florida International University and previously served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Syracuse, an Associated research fellow at Oxford Brookes University, a Research fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and the Catedra Telefonica IBEI Research Fellowship (Barcelona, Spain). Her courses and research have focused on managing databases (SQL, NOSQL, Python), information systems strategy, distributed management systems and cloud computing, cloud security, ERP for the enterprise and Design of MIS systems.
