Foundations of Cybersecurity

The surge of cybersecurity risks and threats has exponentially increased the demand for cybersecurity professionals. This eight-week, self-paced online course provides the foundational knowledge to transitioning military personnel, veterans, and first responders seeking to enter the cybersecurity workforce or advance in their respective careers. Participants will be prepared with theoretical and practical cybersecurity knowledge for more advanced courses in cybersecurity through nine course modules.

PROGRAM DATES: January 23rd - March 20th, 2023 (8 Weeks)

PROGRAM FORMAT: Fully Online Self-Paced

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • Free for transitioning military personnel, veterans, and first responders
  • All military occupational specialty (MOS) backgrounds are eligible
  • Course completion required to attend future courses
  • Participants are expected to dedicate 10-15 hours per week
  • A certificate of completion will be awarded from FIU upon completion
