Empowering Panthers for Federal Careers

At Florida International University (FIU), we’re driven by student success. This was evident at the 19th Annual Federal Government Statewide Conference on June 18th, held at the FIU Graham Center Ballrooms. Recruiters and Hiring Managers from across the Federal Government visited FIU to showcase pathways to students into prospective Career pathways within the Federal Government. Hosted by FIU Career and Talent Development, the event featured recruiters and managers from key federal agencies like:

- Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)

- Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI)

- Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)

- U.S. Department of State

- Drug Enforcement Administration's Miami Field Division

The Jack D. Gordon Institute for Public Policy, a participant in the conference, highlighted the IC-CAE Intelligence Fellowship. This program, funded by the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence, prepares students of all majors for impactful federal careers through coursework, research, and mentorship. This initiative aligns with FIU’s commitment to diversity and excellence in public service.

At the conference, the Student Internship and Fellowship Panel emphasized the fellowship's crucial role. Leland Lazarus, our Associate Director of National Security Policy, and alumni now interning with agencies such as the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), showcased the real-world impact and benefits of the fellowship.

The IC-CAE Intelligence Fellowship offers practical experiences with intelligence professionals and networking opportunities with intelligence agencies, boasting an 80% placement rate for jobs and internships. This fellowship emphasizes not just academics but actionable, career-oriented results.

For those driven to serve and excel, the IC-CAE Intelligence Fellowship offers unparalleled opportunities. Our program paves the way to public service for all students, providing access to networks with hiring managers and recruiters across the Intelligence Community. FIU supports students in forging their federal careers, offering guidance every step of the way. Consider joining the Intelligence Fellowship today and contribute to the security of the future and protection of the nation.
