Florida International University (FIU) was among four institutions that the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation selected to receive large-scale grants, designated to support launching and expanding interdisciplinary cyber policy programs. Through this grant, FIU aims to elevate its position as a leader in cyber policy and workforce development.
This program will bring faculty and researchers throughout the Steven J. Green School of International & Public Affairs (SIPA), College of Engineering & Computing, College of Business, College of Law, and the Division of Information Technology together to collaborate in increasing interdisciplinarity in existing cyber curricula and expanding interdisciplinary research.
To provide strategic guidance and expertise, FIU's Jack D. Gordon Institute for Public Policy has established the Cyber Policy Advisory Board. Comprised of influential members from leading technology companies, the advisory board will support FIU's mission of promoting cybersecurity education, research, and public policy development. As part of its commitment to diversity in the cybersecurity workforce, the board will play a vital role in advancing FIU's initiatives.
