Dr. Brands seeks to make sense of what Trump's election and presidency mean for the future of that tradition in "Is American Internationalism Dead?" The second piece (attached), co-authored with Peter Feaver, is titled "Was the Rise of ISIS Inevitable?" It asks whether the rise of ISIS could have been averted?
The Summer Institute on National Security Studies is a multi-disciplinary one-week program to be held from June 12-16, 2017, incorporating topics in Foreign Policy Analysis, International Security and assessments of World Politics. All materials associated with the program will be provided. FIU parking passes will be provided to students enrolled in the institute.
