Wanetta “Bobby” Ghisiawan-Whittaker

Wanetta “Bobby” Ghisiawan-Whittaker serves as the Lead Academic Advisor and Junior Program Coordinator for the Jack D. Gordon Institute at Florida International University. She earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology from FIU and graduate degree from Hodges University in Healthcare Administration. She is currently earning her Ph. D in Higher Education Administration at Barry University. She assists with strategic recruitment for the National Security Studies and Public Policy certificate programs as well as the competitive Intelligence Fellowship Program. In addition, she manages all of the certificate processing.

Before joining the Gordon Institute, Bobby served as the Senior Academic Advisor and Adjunct Instructor for the Health Service Administration Program in the Nicole Wertheim’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She began advising at FIU in 2013 and has worked with a diverse population of students from a variety of disciplines. Bobby is certified as an Appreciative Advising Coach where she uses her passion for helping students and helping them find a major that aligns with their interests, skills, and values that will ultimately lead them to future academic and career success.
